Master Bed/Bath Before & After
Welcome to Marchr! (My inner voice just panicked--It's already March?!) As we get into the swing of 2017, let's take a minute and breathe deep. Seriously. Breathe. We're making it. We're doing great. We're right on track with where we want to be. Let's be grateful. Let's be thankful. That's what this bedroom does for me--it lets me breathe deep and appreciate my life...and isn't that the point of your bedroom? So many master bedrooms get neglected for other spaces in the home. Literally everyone else gets a new room, a new paint color, new accessories, you get the picture. When this project landed on our desk we were thrilled because we were finally getting to do a master bedroom! They wanted it to be a retreat where they could relax, do their morning Bible study, or watch tv together. The first design decision I made was to keep everything simple and clean. Any room kids use gets cluttered in a second. I wanted this space to feel uncluttered--a kid-free sanctuary! One of my favorite design moments in this transformation is the mirror frames and they were so easy! We had the original mirrors removed because they were just too tall and scaled them down so that they felt more appropriate in the space. Then we framed the mirrors with custom-made frames that I found online! I love how the mirror frame wood goes so well with the antique window and the dresser!
