Frequently Asked Questions

You don’t have to be an interior designer or general contractor to get the home of your dreams, but you might have a few questions along the way. Here are some common questions and our answers. Still not quite sure? Let’s talk!

Q: What’s the difference between service tiers?

A:  We offer flat-fee service tiers for our design packages to help keep things easy to understand. Tier 3 (Remodel) — think a total gut job, where you’ll be getting an entirely new room from top to bottom; Tier 2 (Refinish) — our middle tier is between a construction zone and some easy updates; and Tier 1 (Refresh) — surface tweaks, like paint and new light fixtures and no heavy construction. We’ll help point you to the right tier once we’ve discussed your project and goals.

Q: Why is it important to have design and construction under one roof?

A: When your designer, contractor and subcontractors are all on the same team, you can expect consistent communication, scheduling, and a seamless process from one phase to the next.

Q: Is it okay if I don’t know what kind of design I want?

A: Absolutely! If you know what you want, great. If you have no clue, we’re going to help you get there. In fact, we love helping our clients discover a style and vision that’s uniquely theirs.

Q: What is an NCIDQ designer, and is that important?

A: This interior design certification — licensed by the Texas Board of Architecture — means that your designer understands both design and technical building codes. When it comes to ensuring your home remodel is healthy and safe, this certification matters, and no one else in Southlake has it.

Q: How quickly can you get started on my house?

A: Great question! Once we meet for your initial consultation, we’ll be able to give you an idea of when we can get started.

Q: I don’t have time to discuss the project. Can I just get a bid up front?

A: Trust us — that’s not a business model that will serve your interests. Bids up front = surprise fees out the back. With Lambert Home, we take the time to thoroughly assess your needs. But once we’re done, your budget is final.

Q: What’s the difference between your custom furniture and other options out there?

A: So many retailers today are plagued by incredibly long delivery times, and the quality can often be suspect. Our high-quality, custom furniture line is handmade by a family-owned business right here in the USA. We have an excellent selection of fabrics to suit your style and lifestyle. And you’ll receive your made-for-you piece in about 8 weeks. Lambert Home custom furniture is one of the best-kept secrets around!

Q: How long have you been in business?

A: Lambert Home opened its doors in 2015, and our team came together with decades of experience in design and construction. Your home will be in great hands with us.

Q: I’m ready! What’s my first move?

A:  We can’t wait to hear from you! You can start by booking a free consultation right here.
