This game room was such a fun adventure! Our mission was to turn this room into a fun game room for two teen girls who (too soon) are going to be off at college. This would be the ‘boys allowed’ game room so we wanted everyone to feel welcome for movies, pool, wii, whatever! It’s not every day we have a client who says “ya know, I really think we should go with orange!” so when we heard those words, we jumped all in! We started with two orange, armless chairs that can be tucked away, ottomans stored under the pool table, and the custom sectional for flexible hangout seating. We knew we wanted it to be clean-lined but comfortable and this sofa nailed it! We know that party rooms should also function as every-day rooms so we chose a coffee table that lifts up so your laptop for homework (or popcorn for the big game) are at the perfect height. From black-out lined custom drapes in an orange geometric print, to orange velvet throw pillows, this game room exudes energy and fun while maintaining it’s casual atmosphere. The perfect art for this room was hard to find! We had a very large canvas of a photo of New York City. It would’ve taken A LOT to compete with it. Instead of settling for something from a big box store, we framed a set of geode coasters and a set of paper coasters! The geodes add that little touch of natural beauty and a new visual texture to this game room–bonus!–without stealing attention from the rest off the room.
