Katie! Our favorite mom-to-be! Any day now we will be adding a new tiny member to our Lambert Home team. We will miss Katie during her maternity leave and honestly don’t know how we will make it with out her!! She brings so much value to the team and joy to our days!!

If you’ve come to the store, Katie’s probably helped you pick out your new favorite Christmas ornament, placed an order to re-upholster your chaise lounge, or listened to your struggles + cared for you on a hard day. If you’re a client of ours you’ve seen Katie on tall ladders installing new hardware, managing all the logistics of your timeline, and putting out all the little fires at your home remodel with confidence! What you don’t see Katie doing is all the behind the scenes of our entire business since day 1!!!! She manages our entire business, is the front lines for all the good and crazy emails we receive, prices out every single one of Sarah’s designs, works with Dad to keep all projects on track, schedules everything for everyone (all projects, employees, subs, everything!), helps Madison create vision for instagram and as of lately trains her childhood bff Laura! Not only does Katie work so hard to make our business function, but she also is our source for all things #bachelornation, original covers to classic hits, and food, food and MORE FOOD! Katie is bursting with energy, deeply caring, and ready to stick up for the underdog at all time! But that’s enough from us: read what she has to say!!

Katie Lambert

1. What is your favorite thing in your closet?

My tea length tutu! I love it! (I made the mistake of trying it on when I was 6 months pregnant…why do I do these things to myself!)

2. If we went to happy hour, what would you order?

Oh my…I’m currently 9 months pregnant, so water! HA! But normally, a margarita on the rocks, super salty.

3. What did you want to be when you grew up?

A Ballerina. Alas, I never took a dance class a day in my life.

4. What’s your biggest pet peeve?

Being misunderstood.

5. What’s your favorite color?

Red. Pink. Peach. Yellow. Salmon. If it’s a warm tone, I love it.

6. What three words best describe you?

Passionate. Unafraid. Tireless.

7. What’s the highest thing on your bucket list right now?

My bucket list is an ever-rotating, constantly-discussed thing to me. An Italian road trip is really high right now! Followed SO closely by a trip to Zanzibar! Also just general sitting on my porch holding my baby, growing broccoli in my garden, finally learning to bake a Christmas ham…you get the drift.

8. What’s the last book you read? Did you like it?

lol. Harvey Karp’s guide to having the Happiest Baby on The Block. I didn’t not like it! It was very informative, if not traumatizing.

9. If you could be anywhere, other than here, right this minute, where would you be?

Maasai Mara, Kenya.

10. If you were a pasta shape, which one would you be and why?

Pappardelle. It’s a pasta that can stand up to a big bold sauce, not dainty, frail, and afraid like poor ol’ angel hair. How embarrassing to be angel hair!

11. What’s the best part of your job?

Doing math! Spreadsheets!

12. Which celebrity would you invite to your birthday party?

George W Bush and Laura. The type of people who will dress nice but still tell a slightly inappropriate joke and drink a beer.

13. What was your favorite toy as a kid?

I was never that into toys, more into like, turning a cardboard box into a McDonald’s drive through. Or I guess does a bike count as a toy?

14. Which of your personality traits has gotten you in the most trouble?

Wow. My whole personality is what has always had me in trouble! Y’all know I’m an enneagram 8 and that doesn’t sit well with a lot of people. It was a difficult thing to understand when I was younger, but now that i’m 30 it’s the pride of my life!

15. If you’ve had a bad day, what do you do to make yourself feel better?

Easy. We call it “Pizza Cave” at my house. (Sometimes we call it “Chinese Cave.”) It’s when you get home, you put on your fluffiest pull-over, close all of the roller shades, lock the door, turn on your latest Netflix show, and sit with a pizza box on your lap. Nobody talks in pizza cave. Nobody’s in trouble in pizza cave. There is no stress or worry in Pizza Cave. Nobody’s welcome into pizza cave except your closest people. There are no pants in pizza cave. 🙂 It’s heaven!!

16. Describe your perfect vacation

lol. I’ll briefly summarize. Location isn’t as important. It could be Singapore, Uganda, Australia, Norway, or Uruguay but it must include good food, visits with locals, lots of time outside exploring and a thrilling physical adventure.

17. What’s your favorite food?

Beef enchiladas. Chinese food. My mom’s chicken fried steak. Uncle Vic’s rolls. Rice. RICE! How did rice get forgotten until now. So rude. Hand-made pasta. Korean food. Vietnamese egg rolls. Hot wings. Pizza. Greek food. Frito pie. Hot dogs in general. I mean how can I pick a fav?

18. Describe your perfect Saturday

Wake up early and work in the garden with Nick. Have sandwiches for lunch outside. Pet the dogs. Go fishing with dad in the afternoon. Dinner with family at my house. Play a board game.

19. Who would play you if there were a movie about your life?

A movie about my life would be animated by Pixar. 🙂 No actress needed!

20. If you only had one week to live what would you do?

I’d hang out with my family, eat a lot of food, and spend a lot of time outside!

21. Describe the design of your dream bedroom.

Can I say canopy bed?! Is that something I can say?! Didn’t we all want one of those when we were younger?

22. At what age do you see yourself retiring?

I don’t see myself ever retiring! Maybe just only working 1-2 days a week, or a few hours a day!
