This room turned out just as sweet as the 5 year old who resides in it! When we started this project the mom gave us only a few instructions, she wanted it to be “very little boy!” We considered several cute themes from rockets, to trucks, to firemen, but finally settled on this precious wilderness theme! We knew we wanted to hint towards wilderness without being A, too adult, and B, too babyish so we started with the white paper mache deer head flanked by two frame landscape prints. The hunter green wall color turned out to be the perfect blending of colorful boy room and forrest adventure. Changing the drawer pulls on the simple Ikea furniture adds personality on a budget! One of the best things about this little boy wilderness room is that it can easily transition from little boy to big boy to teen.
