2024 Lambert Home Wrapped

We started off 2024 with a blog about dreaming: how holy it is, how God-inspired our dreams felt, how excited we were to adventure into 2024! We now know that receiving the dream and stepping into it in faithfulness was the easy part! It was much, much, much harder to STAY in the dream of the new building and The Greenhouse, to stay faithful to what we believe is for us, and to wait when the timeline isn't calling for a pause.

Looking back on this year, I can confidently say most of the dreams felt like they were on fire with no fire department coming to save them! There were, of course, sparkling moments of beauty and fireworks of celebration but, for the most part, the year feels drab and colorless and...just really hard. What was true in January is still true now--God knows us best and is writing a joyful, magical, star-shooting, abundant life for us still. I want to take a deep breath. I want to pause to process this year. I should probably grieve the lost spark of joy and then reclaim it again. I want to celebrate the beautiful glimmers of hope and provision. Most of all I want to give myself the space to say "it was really hard...and I'll keep going."

Prayer Points

We gave you, our faithful friends and followers, prayer points throughout the year so I wanted to update you on where we're at, how we saw God answer the prayers, and how we need to keep asking!

1. Clarity

The thing we kept asking you to pray for was "clear minds/clarity" and, for the most part, we've had that all along! Amen!

2. Barrier Removal

We asked that barricades in the process be removed and that things fall into place on time. AND THERE'S THE RUB. Haha! We were praying that in January and we're here in December with the last seconds ticking away on the timer...still waiting...

What we meant when we asked that you pray for barrier removal was that the city of Southlake would approve us and let us move forward with the building permits--and they've been the easy part! So, in a way, prayer answered. But in a more real way, we're still waiting and pushing and pushing and waiting and trying...and in a frustrating way it seems like our effort does nothing to move the needle on our new building project!

3. Spiritual Protection & Healing

The final prayer point that we definitely still need your help with is spiritual protection (and healing!). Surely you can tell from the tone of the email that 2024 absolutely rocked us! Our joy, hope, physical health, etc. all felt at risk, at best, and absent at worst! The dreams we're dreaming are high-stakes, world-changing, hope-giving, joy-bringing dreams and that passion is a dangerous thing to the status quo. We want to stay faithful to the abundant dreams God is placing in our hearts--not watering anything down out of fear or oppression!

Dreaming in 2025

So now, on the cusp of 2025, let's launch Vision and Dreaming 2.0. I'll take a deep breath. And then, like Hebrews says, I'll take a new grip and strengthen my weak knees and get after it again. God is faithful. He is coming through. He is worthy of all glory, honor, and power. That is true. And as the next year moves forward, and I doubt and fear and struggle, I'll come back to that foundation.

As the team laughs at lunch until we cry, and celebrates engagements and graduations and losing our first tooth, and works hard and dreams big, we'll see the world impacted by our dreaming. We'll see that the spark we kindled in the PITCH BLACK NIGHT has the potential to light up 2025 in a whole new way. Hope and joy are still ours for the taking and I'm reaching out for the abundance God promises. I see it in our team, in my family, in my home, and in our future!
