2025 Interior Design Trends
It’s a new year—proverbially, the sun is shining, the wind is in my hair, the radio is playing only the best songs and we’re living our best lives! Welcome to 2025! Should we get bangs? Haha! While the year is so optimistic and fresh, let’s talk 2025 Interior Design Trends!
1. Pattern Drenching
We saw 2024 dive deep (see what I did there?!) into color drenching but this year we’re upping the ante. Instead of focusing on a single color and saturating your walls, trim, ceilings, and even upholstery in one hue—we’re putting pattern everywhere! Walls, ceiling, drapes, and upholstery can all be covered in the same pattern! This is an old, traditional idea that we’re reviving and bringing into the 21st century.
Feeling even bolder? Mix patterns! To pull this off—make sure the color story is cohesive and the scales vary. Pro Tip: Not everything gets to be the star. Decide which pattern will star and which will just be supporting cast.
2. Wisteria
A hopeful, optimistic take on purple is in! I know Pantone chose Mocha Mousse as their color of the year, but I’M TIRED OF SAD BROWN GIVE ME A BREAK! Mocha Mousse makes me feel like we’re heading into a recession; and if we’re gonna head into a recession, at least give me pep in my step! Wisteria represents hope and seizing new opportunities—who couldn’t use more hope this year?! I’ll include some options from our online store with a pop of this color, below, for you to shop right now!
3. Authenticity
Finally, people are catching on to what we’ve been saying for years! Your home should represent you and serve you best—comfort, function, and aesthetics should all be considered here! I just read an article saying “comfortable interiors are in for 2025”… have some of y’all been uncomfortable this whole time?! At home?! My goodness.
Be honest about who you are, about where and how you fit in this world, and then design toward that! I’m a mom of 4—white, minimal interiors are not practical for me and will not work for my crew—so I don’t pursue that life! We like to read together and play together and listen to music together. That means I need accessible books, lots of cozy spots to settle into, and plenty of open floor space for building! I have a pink couch and collected, layered artwork. This best represents who I am and where I fit. If your home isn’t serving you in this same way—why not? How can I help?!
